I went in with high expectations after previously seeing ‘We are Stars’ and ‘We are Aliens’ and I was not disappointed. From the start I couldn’t help but be trapped in the homely voice of David Tenant and this fascinating movie. Bursting with knowledge but made in such a way that anyone could understand. I walked out off the short film with a complete different mindset than before with knowledge of telescopes and how they were useful back then and even more so now and how telescopes play their part in space.
This movie I could watch time after time as it expands my knowledge of astronomers and the universe. I was worried I wouldn’t understand the film because I have no real knowledge of astronomers but after watching it I would say it is aimed at any age group as it isn’t hard to understand and kids will enjoy the fact it’s basically a giant TV on the ceiling. I also got worried when I was in the ShowDome that I was going to get a stiff neck but time after time I’m proven wrong with the relaxing comfort of the tilted chairs.
Overall I was so glad that ‘We Are Astronomers” lived up to the expectation and was even better than I thought, with music fun facts and amazing graphics I would recommend it to anyone and will happily go back and see it.
