STEM Outdoors

Discover the benefits of taking your pupils outside and how you can use your outdoor environment to enthuse them about science. This interactive session will look at the context for outdoor learning, provide practical advice on how to lead groups outdoors including planning and risk assessments and demonstrate a range of activity ideas for delivering science learning outside.

Supports cross curricular CfE early, first and second level experiences and outcomes

Outdoor Learning in Practice

All of our outdoor workshops are available as CPD options. We can run them for groups of teachers to demonstrate best practice outdoors and showcase activities. Alternatively, if you are looking to increase your confidence in taking your class outside participating in one with your pupils is a great way to be able to see how they respond to learning outside in a supported manner.
